Description
Stage Captions is professional closed captioning software for live events. Powered by automatic speech recognition, it generates captions continuously as a speaker talks and routes the live text to venue screens, livestreams, and attendee devices, with latency typically under a second, all without live stenographers or installed apps.

Presenters run the tool in a supported browser and manage caption rooms from a presenter dashboard, choosing the audio input, adjusting caption display settings, and monitoring the audio, caption output, and delay during a session. Attendees open captions by scanning a QR code or opening a shared link in their own browser, with no app or account required. Custom dictionaries let teams add names, abbreviations, brand language, and technical terms to improve recognition of specialized vocabulary.
The browser output can be added to OBS Studio, Resolume, and other production tools as a web source, and shown on stage screens, confidence monitors, and venue displays. Stage Captions supports more than 60 live transcription languages and variants and offers configurable live translation so each viewer can choose the original or an available translation. Built by a two-person team in Vilnius, it processes audio in real time and does not store event audio files or long-term transcripts.
