Sesame agents can optionally connect to Gmail and Google Calendar through the Integrations page in Settings. Once connected, an agent can search and read emails, draft and send messages (with approval before anything is sent), manage inbox labels, and search contacts; on the calendar side it can view events including shared calendars, create, update and delete events, find mutual availability across attendees, and set up recurring meetings. A person can turn this off at any time, use Incognito Mode so a conversation is not saved to memory, and separately opt out of having conversation data used to improve Sesame's models.
Beyond the app, Sesame is developing intelligent eyewear built for all-day comfort with high-quality audio, so a person can talk to their agent hands-free without reaching for a phone. This hardware is planned for 2027 and is not yet available; the company is taking sign-ups for early access.
Sesame's research centers on what it calls "voice presence," the quality that makes a spoken exchange feel real rather than mechanical. In a February 2025 technical post, "Crossing the uncanny valley of conversational voice," the team describes working on emotional intelligence, natural conversational timing and pauses, contextual awareness, and a consistent personality, while noting the work is not finished.
