In addition to ID photo creation, Machi Photos offers a wide range of AI photo effects, allowing users to transform a single photo into posters, postcards, avatars, and more. With approximately 100 different effects available, users can explore creative possibilities such as turning photos into hand-drawn illustrations or restoring old images. Each AI transformation requires points, with new users receiving 12 free credits upon registration.
The platform operates on a freemium model, where basic ID photo creation is free, and AI photo effects are accessed through a point system. Points can be purchased in packs, valid for 12 months, with options ranging from 40 points for 480 yen to 300 points for 2980 yen.
Machi Photos is accessible in eight languages and does not require app installation, making it convenient for users to access via web browsers or LINE. The service is particularly beneficial for individuals needing quick and affordable ID photos or those interested in creatively enhancing their photos with AI effects.
