Description
GPT for Work, built by Talarian, brings an AI agent directly into Excel and Google Sheets so spreadsheet work can be done with simple natural-language prompts. The agent writes, fixes, and explains formulas, cleans and standardizes messy data, splits and merges columns, removes duplicates, validates values, applies formatting and conditional formatting, and builds pivot tables and charts.

Beyond one-off tasks, its core strength is bulk row-by-row processing at scale: content generation and rewriting, translation and localization, categorization and tagging, extraction from unstructured text, data enrichment and web research, image analysis, and fuzzy matching or deduplication. It can process up to about 1,000 answers per minute and scale to hundreds of thousands of rows on Sheets and up to a million on Excel, with real-time progress tracking and one-click stop. Dedicated GPT functions like =GPT() let you prompt AI directly from cells.
The tool avoids AI lock-in by supporting many providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Perplexity, Mistral, DeepSeek, xAI, and local models via Ollama, and lets users bring their own API keys or custom endpoints. It is free to install with starting credits and no card required, with pay-as-you-go credit packs starting at $29 (pooled across the workspace, valid 12 months) and subscription plans from $25/month rolling out. Talarian emphasizes security and privacy with ISO 27001 certification, GDPR compliance, SSO, and encryption, and states it does not use customer data to train models.
