After connecting a Gmail account, the AI analyzes incoming email and produces contextual reply drafts based on the message content, so routine correspondence can be handled more quickly. It can also compose original emails for use cases such as sales outreach, customer service, marketing, and general business communication, aiming to match tone and context.
The tool positions itself as a faster alternative to writing emails manually, drafting messages in seconds rather than minutes. Unlike traditional out-of-office auto-replies, its AI auto-reply creates personalized responses for each email rather than a single canned message.
Extra Thursday advertises a free tier for generating email drafts and replies. It is aimed at professionals, teams, and anyone who spends significant time on email and wants AI assistance drafting and responding within Gmail.
