Every day, Verity employs advanced machine learning systems to aggregate and organize news data from over 5,000 traditional and alternative sources. This data is then used to draft various types of content, including News Stories, Context Stories, Deep Dives, and Controversies. The AI-generated first drafts are meticulously reviewed and edited by a dedicated team to ensure that every fact is neutrally presented and supported by opposing viewpoints or primary sources. This rigorous process ensures that the narratives capture the strongest arguments from all sides, providing a comprehensive view of the issues at hand.
Verity is operated by ITN, a philanthropically funded, independent nonprofit organization based in the U.S. The service is completely free and ad-free, meaning users will never be asked for payment details or exposed to third-party advertisements. The platform relies solely on the generosity of its donors, including the Future of Life Institute.
Users can access Verity through multiple platforms, including its website, iOS and Android apps, and by subscribing to daily and weekly newsletters. Additionally, Verity offers audio content on platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts. The platform encourages users to join discussions and stay updated on the latest features through its Slack Community. With a commitment to privacy and security, Verity aims to counteract the current trends in news consumption that prioritize advertising revenue over user experience. By providing a space where users can explore various narratives, Verity empowers them to think critically and engage with the news in a meaningful way.
