Description
Raster is a modern digital asset management (DAM) platform built to support both human users and AI agents, catering to teams that frequently ship visual content. Traditional DAM systems were designed for a slower era, but Raster addresses the evolving needs of teams that now generate, edit, remix, and ship more images than ever before. The platform is engineered for speed, aiming to be the fastest DAM available, while also incorporating smart features to boost team performance.

Raster's user experience is crafted for teams focused on shipping work, offering a beautiful design that inspires productivity. Key features include live collaboration, a command palette for quick actions, and a growing API for seamless integration. A dedicated Mac App is also available. The platform is built with AI in mind, featuring capabilities like reverse image search and AI-powered editing tools. A standout feature is the ability to deploy unique Raster image URLs, allowing for post-ship image edits even after they have been deployed.
Raster is positioned as a faster alternative to legacy DAMs, keeping asset management close to the daily workflow of teams that create, edit, retrieve, and deliver images. It tackles the challenges of manual tagging by keeping libraries structured with visual context and metadata usable by both people and agents. Unlike enterprise portals that can distance asset management from the shipping process, Raster integrates directly into the workflow. It's designed for automation and readiness for agents, providing a light interface and reliable paths for software to access assets.
Integrations are a core part of Raster's offering, connecting the image library to the places where assets become product surfaces, campaigns, storefronts, and content. Supported integrations include Contentful for structured content workflows, DatoCMS for editorial and site content, Figma for design production, and Sanity for composable content systems. The platform also offers an API for building asset retrieval and delivery into custom tools, and a CDN for shipping optimized image URLs directly from Raster. Raster aims to be the central hub for storing, organizing, searching, transforming, connecting, and shipping visual assets for teams that move fast.
