Description
One Roof offers a novel approach to building with AI agents, consolidating their operations into a single, intuitive interface. It is neither an IDE nor a terminal, but a dedicated environment where a team of agents can work collaboratively. The platform supports a diverse range of agents, including Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Kimi, and Antigravity, allowing users to leverage the strengths of each for different parts of a job.

The application addresses common challenges faced when working with multiple agents, such as lost questions, missed overnight activity, overwhelming output streams, identical terminal appearances, performance slowdowns, and agents acting without explicit approval. One Roof tackles these issues by providing a structured workflow and clear visibility into agent actions.
Key functionalities include a personalized front page that highlights critical updates and pending decisions, an Inbox that centralizes all agent queries and responses, and real terminals that run sessions in the background, even when the app is closed. It also features a comprehensive history of agent activities, including steps, findings, errors, and hand-offs, searchable and filterable for easy review.
For repetitive tasks, One Roof introduces 'loops' that allow agents to work towards a goal until a specific check passes, such as tests running successfully. These loops operate in their own repository copies, ensuring user code remains untouched until approval. The platform also includes performance monitoring tools to track memory and CPU usage for each session, preventing system slowdowns.
While still in draft, an evaluation feature allows users to measure agents and models against public benchmarks or custom question sets derived from their own codebases, providing insights into performance and cost. One Roof prioritizes safety and user control, with agents defaulting to manual permission modes, requiring explicit approval for actions, and operating only within designated code folders. It is free, open-source, signed, and notarized, ensuring a secure and transparent environment for agent orchestration.
