The core of Aperty's functionality lies in its ability to perform natural skin smoothing, correct blemishes, and reduce the appearance of dark circles and wrinkles. It utilizes a 3D face mesh to ensure edits are precise and natural-looking, avoiding the artificial "plastic" effect sometimes seen with other editing tools. This focus on natural results is crucial for professional portrait photography.
A key feature for workflow integration is Aperty's capability to function as a plugin for Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. This allows photographers to retouch images directly within their familiar editing environment, eliminating the need for cumbersome round-tripping or awkward exports. The software also operates offline, ensuring data privacy and security as all editing is done on the user's device.
Batch synchronization is another significant advantage. Photographers can apply a set of edits to one portrait and then instantly sync those adjustments across an entire set of images, ensuring visual consistency throughout a wedding gallery, portrait session, or any large batch of photos. This feature alone can drastically cut down editing time.
The process is designed to be straightforward: import images, apply professional presets, fine-tune retouching amounts and personal style, and then export the project ready for client delivery. Aperty is targeted at professional photographers, including wedding, family, and portrait photographers, who are looking to reclaim their evenings, grow their business, and scale their operations by reducing editing bottlenecks.
