Description
Elara Spatial builds Lumasite, a computer-vision platform that turns interior property photos into a documented, line-by-line damage estimate. It targets the slowest part of a property insurance claim: getting an accurate, defensible measurement of the damage without sending an adjuster on-site.

The process runs in stages. A policyholder or adjuster opens a link on a phone (no app download, no special hardware) and captures a few ordinary photos of the damaged room. Lumasite reconstructs the room in 3D from those photos, so dimensions come from the model rather than a tape measure. It then identifies materials, finishes and visible damage room by room, and applies the carrier's own pricing rules to draft a payment estimate. Every line in that estimate traces back to the photo that produced it.
Lumasite is white-labeled: carriers deploy it as their own branded platform, so policyholders interact with their insurer's flow rather than with Elara Spatial directly. A human adjuster reviews and approves every estimate before it becomes final; the platform has no access to coverage information and does not decide what is covered, only what is documented as damaged.
Today Lumasite handles interior water damage claims, the most common property insurance claim, at any severity from a small leak to a flooded floor; additional perils are described as being on the roadmap. It works both before and after mitigation, and it can be used by adjusters, inspectors or contractors in the field as well as by policyholders capturing their own photos (the sweet spot for policyholder-led capture is two to three rooms; larger losses are usually captured by a professional).
Elara Spatial reports production results with top-10 U.S. carriers: photo-to-estimate turnaround around two hours (against an industry average cited as 28 days), a 40%+ reduction in claim cycle time (first notice of loss to first payment), more than 50% more claims processed per adjuster, and over 80% of estimates returned without errors, traceable line by line to the source photo. Outside of catastrophe events the platform does not process claims on weekends or holidays; during a catastrophe or severe weather event it runs extended hours daily.
The company is built for property insurance carriers and their adjusters, not consumers directly: it sells into carriers, who then offer the branded photo-capture flow to their own policyholders. No pricing is published on the site; access is arranged through a demo request.

Photo capture via a browser link on any phone, no app to install
3D reconstruction of the damaged room from a handful of ordinary photos
Automatic identification of materials, finishes and visible damage, room by room
Carrier pricing rules applied to generate a line-item payment estimate
Every estimate line traces back to the specific photo it came from
Human adjuster reviews and approves every estimate before it is final
White-labeled deployment so policyholders see their carrier's own branding, not Elara Spatial's
Works on interior water damage claims of any size, both before and after mitigation
How to use Elara Spatial?
Send the link: a carrier or adjuster sends the policyholder a capture link by text or email
Capture: the policyholder (or an adjuster/contractor in the field) opens the link on a phone and takes guided photos of the damaged room
Reconstruct: Lumasite rebuilds the room in 3D from the photos, taking dimensions from the model
Identify: the system recognizes materials, finishes and damage across the room
Estimate: it applies the carrier's pricing rules and drafts a line-item estimate traceable to each photo
Review: a human adjuster reviews and approves the estimate before it is final
Elara Spatial's Use Cases
- Interior water damage claims
- Carrier white-label rollout
- Remote adjuster review
- Post-mitigation re-estimate
