Description
Send 2 AI is a Chrome extension designed to simplify the process of interacting with AI chatbots, particularly when you need to send specific pieces of text from web pages. The core functionality revolves around marking text on any webpage, right-clicking, and selecting the "send to AI" option. Upon activation, the extension takes the selected text, inserts it into a customizable template, copies the formatted text to your clipboard, and automatically redirects you to a chosen AI chat page, such as ChatGPT.

This automation significantly reduces the manual effort involved in copying text, opening the AI chat interface, and pasting the information. Users can personalize the experience by defining their own templates in the extension's options. A placeholder, denoted by `{text}`, is used within the template to indicate where the marked text will be inserted. For example, a template like "Please tell me about {text} in a very simple way as if I was 5 years old kid" allows for quick, context-specific queries.
The extension aims to eliminate the repetitive task of opening AI interfaces and re-entering similar prompts. By setting up a prompt template once, users can efficiently leverage AI for tasks like getting quick explanations of online content, performing fast translations, or any other AI-assisted task that involves sending specific text snippets. The ability to customize the target AI chat page further enhances its versatility, allowing users to direct their queries to their preferred AI service.
Send 2 AI is particularly beneficial for researchers, students, and professionals who frequently encounter information online that they wish to process or understand using AI. It streamlines workflows by integrating AI assistance directly into the browsing experience, making AI tools more accessible and efficient for everyday online activities. The extension is offered by abd.karagoz and was last updated on January 25, 2024.
