This extension operates by injecting a script into the active tab, specifically targeting the designated buttons on ChatGPT's web pages. The necessary permissions, including `activeTab`, `scripting`, and host permissions for `https://chat.openai.com/*` and `https://chatgpt.com/*`, are requested to enable these automated actions. The developer emphasizes a strong commitment to user privacy, stating that the extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The `activeTab` permission is used solely for interacting with the current tab to perform the automated button clicks for convenience.
The Auto Generate Clicker aims to provide a seamless and efficient way for users to interact with ChatGPT. By eliminating the need for manual clicking on continuation and regeneration prompts, users can focus more on refining their prompts and reviewing the generated content. This can lead to increased productivity and a less tedious workflow for individuals relying on ChatGPT for various tasks, from writing assistance to creative content generation.
The extension is offered by developer Hidetaka Miura and is available through the Chrome Web Store. While the item is currently unavailable, the provided information details its functionality and privacy policy. The developer has also declared that user data is not sold to third parties and is not used or transferred for purposes unrelated to the extension's core functionality or for determining creditworthiness. This ensures a secure and trustworthy tool for users seeking to optimize their ChatGPT interactions.
