Description
The ChatGPT Search Bar & Send With Command Enter is a Chrome extension designed to streamline interactions with ChatGPT. It introduces a dedicated search bar, allowing users to quickly find specific chat titles using keywords. This feature aims to improve the organization and retrieval of past conversations, especially for users who manage their chats primarily through titles. The extension also modifies the default behavior of the Enter key, preventing accidental message submissions while editing prompts. Instead, users can employ key combinations like `Command + Enter` (Mac) or `Ctrl + Enter` (Windows) to send messages, offering a more controlled input experience.

Version 2.0 introduced an "Express Search" mode, enabling immediate retrieval of chat titles upon typing, supporting all past conversations regardless of date. This version also incorporated terms of use, requiring explicit user consent for the Express Search feature. Earlier versions, such as 1.1, focused on adding the chat title search functionality, initially supporting up to 30 days of conversation history. Version 1.2 brought an options page, allowing users to enable/disable features and customize message sending key combinations. The developers are continuously working on improvements, with recent updates addressing issues with line break logic and plugin functionality due to UI or URL changes.
Future plans for the extension include further customization of message sending key combinations, the introduction of customizable prompt templates for faster message composition, enhanced organization of daily sent and received messages, extending search capabilities to chat content itself, and the ability to schedule batch messages for GPT-4. These planned features aim to further boost efficiency and user control within the ChatGPT environment. The extension is developed by kawayan.lin and is available on the Chrome Web Store.
