Welcome to the 🤗 AI Agents Course offered by Hugging Face. This free course is designed to advance and democratize artificial intelligence through open source and open science. It takes participants on a journey from beginner to expert in understanding, using, and building AI agents.
The course begins with an onboarding unit that helps you discover the syllabus, choose your learning path, and create a Hugging Face account. You will also have the opportunity to join the course's Discord server to connect with classmates and instructors.
Throughout the course, you will study AI agents in theory, design, and practice. You will learn to use established AI agent libraries such as smolagents, LlamaIndex, and LangGraph. Participants can share their agents on the Hugging Face Hub and explore creations from the community. Additionally, you will engage in challenges to evaluate your agents against those of other students and earn a certificate of completion by completing assignments.
The course is structured into foundational units where you learn the concepts of agents, hands-on sections to train your agents in unique environments, and use case assignments to apply what you've learned to real-world problems. A final challenge allows you to compete against other agents, with a leaderboard to track performance.
To participate, you should have a basic knowledge of Python and LLMs. The only tools required are a computer with an internet connection and a Hugging Face account. The certification process is free, allowing you to choose between audit mode or completing activities for certification.
Each chapter is designed to be completed in approximately one week, with a recommended pace of 3-4 hours of work per week. The course is maintained by Ben Burtenshaw and Sergio Paniego, and contributions from the community are welcomed to enhance the learning experience.
