Description
Reface is a Ukrainian AI company that builds consumer face-swap and content-creation apps, with more than 300 million downloads across its products. Its face-swap tool, marketed on reface.ai as "Unboring," lets users put their own face, or anyone's, into an existing photo or video using RefaceAI, the company's own face-swap technology.

To use it, a person uploads a portrait, then chooses a photo or video from Unboring's built-in catalog, which spans categories from humor to horror, plus hundreds of vintage-style photos for a period look, or uploads their own clip to swap into instead of the catalog. The tool detects and maps facial features onto the target image or video and returns a finished result that can be downloaded and shared, in seconds for photos or a few minutes for higher-resolution video.
RefaceAI has been in development for five years and, according to Reface, has been tested on millions of users worldwide. The app is built for non-technical users: there is no editing skill required beyond uploading a photo and picking a clip. Reface says it does not collect or store uploaded photos on the website.
Unboring is available as a monthly or annual subscription, with annual billing costing less overall. Subscribing removes ads and watermarks, adds unlimited face swaps on photos, and includes a priority processing queue, premium support and access to Video Restyle. Reface notes that pricing for a swap also depends on the number of faces detected in the upload and, for video, its length and frame rate, since longer or busier clips take more processing.
Reface's face-swap app is aimed at casual users making memes, nostalgic family photos, or novelty content to share on social media, rather than professional video production. The company also makes several related apps, including Animate, Video Restyle and Image Restyle, under the same Reface brand.
