Description
Flockbay is a free no-code game builder for Mac and Windows that lets someone make and ship a PC game without learning a game engine like Unity or Unreal. The whole builder and every world-building tool are free to start with, including 1 GB of cloud storage for a user's games.

Level design happens two ways side by side. The Arrange builder is a hands-on toolset for shaping terrain, painting ground materials, scattering plants, adding water, setting the sky and time of day, adding weather, and tuning player movement, camera behavior, and NPC behavior. Alongside it, an AI assistant called Director writes code: a user describes what they want in chat, and Director edits the project files directly and reports back what it changed, so asking Director suits code and scale while the manual Arrange tools suit hands-on judgment calls.
Projects are stored as real Godot game engine projects in a folder the user chooses, so nothing is locked into a Flockbay-specific format. Finished games publish directly to Steam from inside the app, and a developer can connect their own coding agent, such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cline, or others, to a project over MCP.
Flockbay is free at the Free tier ($0/month), which includes the full builder, private projects, 1 GB of storage, and Director 1. Paid tiers add stronger AI: Indie ($20/month) unlocks Director 1, 2, and 3, along with gameplay logic, texture, sound, object, and character rigging generation, plus 20 GB of storage; Pro ($60/month) and Ultra ($200/month) raise the monthly AI usage and storage further. All plans can be canceled at any time.
Beyond the app itself, Flockbay publishes free downloadable assets and a blog, and links to a gallery of indie games built with it, with a community presence on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, and Discord.
