Description
Comicory is an AI comic generator and comic maker that uses large language models and image generation to turn a written story into a multi-panel comic strip or comic book. It writes the script, casts consistent characters, and draws each panel automatically, so a short story becomes finished comic pages.
Character consistency works by first generating a reference portrait for each character in the script, then conditioning every panel on that reference so the same character keeps the same face, hair, and outfit across every panel. Comicory ships 16 art styles, including manga, anime, shonen jump, gekiga, Korean webtoon, chibi, Western comic book, superhero, watercolor, noir, pixel art, cyberpunk, cinematic, and realistic, with 9 available on free credits and 7 on paid plans.
The comic is editable at every stage: users can edit the script before image generation, rewrite a panel prompt and regenerate a single panel, or use Fix Area to brush over one spot, describe a change, and repaint only that region while the rest stays untouched. Speech bubbles are edited separately so fixes never break dialogue, and a Continue Story feature adds new chapters that reuse the existing cast and art style. Finished work exports as a multi-page PDF, a page-layout PNG, one long scrolling PNG, or a ZIP of individual panels and pages.
Comicory is free to try with no credit card, granting 10 starter credits, exactly the cost of a 2-character, 4-panel first comic, where the script costs 4 credits and each character reference and rendered panel costs 1. Free exports carry a small watermark, while a one-time First Comic pack from $4.99 and monthly plans from $9.99 add clean exports, the paid art styles, and character uploads.
