The process is designed for simplicity and speed. Users upload a single photo, select one of four distinct artistic styles – Watercolor, Oil Pastel, Vintage Postcard, or Paper-cut – and choose a pre-written message or craft their own. The AI then generates a unique, hand-painted-style card. This digital creation is available as a PDF for home printing at $3, or users can opt for a printed set of ten cards, complete with envelopes and ribbon, shipped from their Portland, Maine studio for $12, arriving within six days.
The AI model has been trained on a dataset of 1950s cards, aiming to replicate a vintage yet artistic feel. The service emphasizes a personal touch, contrasting with impersonal online card services. The generated cards are designed to be print-ready, with specifications suitable for local print shops. The company also offers cards for other occasions year-round, such as birthdays, New Year, thank-you notes, and new baby announcements, using the same artistic styles.
Christmas Card Factory is ideal for individuals and families who want to send thoughtful, artistic holiday greetings without the usual time commitment or high cost. It appeals to those who appreciate unique design and personal touches but are pressed for time during the busy holiday season. The service aims to provide a "real painter's eye" experience through accessible AI technology, making it easier to send the card you truly meant to send.
Customer testimonials highlight the speed and quality of the cards, with users noting the ease of use and the emotional impact of the final product. The company operates from a small studio in Portland, Maine, and ensures that uploaded photos are purged after 30 days, with no use for model training or other purposes. Rush orders are processed and shipped within 48 hours.
