Description
Avery (built by GoodGist, Inc., trading as Avery.Software) is a build platform that turns plain-language descriptions into working web apps, mobile apps, local business tools, and AI agents. Everything runs from a desktop app for macOS, Windows, or Linux, or from a shared on-premise service for organizations, so a company's code, data, and models can stay on hardware it controls rather than inside a third-party cloud workspace.

A user describes what they want to build, Avery drafts a plan for approval, then builds the app or agent, wires the needed connections, and tests it against real data before handing it back for review. Web builds are real Next.js projects and mobile builds are Expo projects, so the generated source code can be browsed and edited directly, with file-level diffs and restore points for every change. Agents follow the same conversational flow: Avery plans the agent, builds it, and tests it until it passes its own checks, with every step visible to the user.
The platform ships a library of ready-made agent templates for common jobs such as customer support triage, invoice processing, shipping document handling, sales prospecting, compliance policy answers, and turning an existing spreadsheet into a working app. Agents can route work between an exact rule, plain code, an on-device model, or an approved cloud model, and anything outside the defined rules goes to a human approval queue instead of running automatically. Dynamic connectors reach Gmail, Outlook, Slack, files, spreadsheets, browsers, and other software with a documented API. Finished projects can be exported, deployed through the user's own Vercel, Railway, or EAS account, or kept entirely on-premise.
Avery offers a free tier for building and previewing locally with 30 days of project history, a Pro plan at $29 per user per month with more frontier-model providers and 180 days of history, and a custom Enterprise tier that adds the shared on-premise NXR Service.
It is aimed at solo developers, small teams, and mid-market companies that want to build internal tools, customer-facing apps, or governed automation without moving their development environment into someone else's cloud, and without paying per-token costs for every agent run.
