The core functionality of AgentKit revolves around delegated OAuth and tool calling. It ensures that every tool call is made on behalf of the user who delegated the task, rather than a shared service account. This is achieved through per-user authenticated access, where each user connects their own accounts once. Scalekit then securely stores and refreshes these tokens, ensuring that credentials never reach application code, logs, or model prompts. All tokens are stored in an AES-256 vault, isolated per tenant.
AgentKit offers granular control over tool access. Developers can define Virtual MCP servers, exposing only the specific tools an agent needs for a particular role, which helps reduce token usage by up to 80%. Every tool call is scoped to the agent's requirements and meticulously logged, providing a full audit trail that can be streamed to SIEM systems like Datadog and Splunk. This level of transparency and control is crucial for production-grade AI agent deployments.
The platform is framework-agnostic, supporting native integrations with leading AI frameworks such as Anthropic, OpenAI, LangChain, Google ADK, Vercel AI, and Mastra. It also provides Node.js and Python SDKs for easy integration. AgentKit can be deployed in Scalekit's cloud (US or EU regions), within a customer's VPC, or self-hosted and air-gapped, offering flexibility to meet various security and compliance needs. Scalekit is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified and offers HIPAA BAAs for Enterprise plan customers.
Beyond AgentKit, Scalekit also offers Auth for SaaS, an identity layer for B2B SaaS apps, and Auth for MCP, providing drop-in OAuth 2.1 for MCP servers. The Agent Gateway product allows organizations to roll out AI agents internally with robust access controls and auditing. AgentKit provides a free tier with 10,000 tool calls and trigger events per month, with Growth and Enterprise plans available for scaling. The platform simplifies the complex integration layer, allowing agent builders to focus on their core logic and framework.
