The extension is powered by an intelligent pricing engine that continuously analyzes real-world compensation patterns, salary surveys, and market signals. This ensures that users receive up-to-date salary estimates, avoiding outdated ranges or vague approximations. YouWorth is particularly beneficial for job seekers evaluating offers, professionals negotiating compensation, and anyone curious about their market value.
To leverage YouWorth's full capabilities, including personalized salary estimates, users are required to create a YouWorth account. This authentication process helps prevent abuse and maintain service accuracy. By exporting your LinkedIn profile and uploading it to YouWorth, the platform can analyze your skills, education, and work experience to generate tailored salary projections.
Beyond salary insights, a YouWorth account also grants access to a comprehensive personal finance management platform. This includes tools for net worth tracking, budgeting, cash-flow analysis, investment tracking, and AI-powered financial insights. While these personal finance tools are not directly embedded in the Chrome extension, they are designed to complement the career-focused salary information.
YouWorth prioritizes user privacy, requesting only necessary permissions to deliver its features. Salary estimate functionality requires permissions to detect job listings and display estimates on the page. Optional LinkedIn sharing features exist, but YouWorth explicitly states it does not post anything automatically, modify timelines, or share content without explicit user action. User data is used solely for providing salary insights and personalization and is never sold or shared with third parties.
