Description
UpCat is a free Chrome extension designed to empower Upwork freelancers by accelerating their proposal writing and job discovery process. It offers two primary tools: an AI-powered Upwork Proposal Generator and real-time Upwork Job Alerts. This combination aims to help freelancers apply to more relevant jobs faster, without sacrificing personalization.

The AI Cover Letter Generator reads job posts directly from Upwork and drafts a personalized cover letter in seconds. This eliminates the need to start from a blank page and ensures that the initial draft is tailored to the client's specific project requirements. Freelancers can then easily edit the generated draft to inject their own voice and unique selling points before submitting. This approach helps avoid generic, AI-style proposals and ensures each application feels authentic.
Complementing the proposal generator, UpCat's Real-Time Upwork Job Alerts notify freelancers instantly when new jobs matching their criteria are posted. This is crucial on Upwork, where the best gigs can receive numerous proposals quickly. By receiving alerts in real-time, freelancers can find and apply to relevant projects before the job feed becomes saturated, increasing their chances of being noticed. Users can track gigs by category, skill, and keyword, ensuring they receive only the most pertinent opportunities.
The platform emphasizes a workflow that balances speed with personalization. It guides freelancers through a simple three-step process: open a job post on Upwork, let UpCat draft the cover letter, and then edit and submit the proposal. This method allows freelancers to respond quickly to new posts, write better cover letters with less effort, maintain proposal quality, and discover more suitable freelance gigs daily.
UpCat is built for Upwork freelancers, whether they are new to the platform or seasoned professionals. It operates as a browser extension, keeping the workflow integrated within the Upwork interface. The tool is committed to being always free and is available for Chromium-based browsers like Chrome, Brave, Edge, and Opera. UpCat is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Upwork Inc.
