The extension offers a suite of advanced search features. Semantic Search, powered by ChatGPT, understands the context and meaning of your queries, returning results that are conceptually related even if the exact words aren't present. For users who require precise pattern matching, Ctrl-F GPT includes robust Regex Search capabilities. Furthermore, it can broaden your search by including synonyms and antonyms of your keywords, ensuring you don't miss relevant information. The Similar Match Search feature identifies text with high text similarity to your query, providing a more comprehensive overview of related content on the page. Users also have the flexibility to toggle case sensitivity for their searches.
Ctrl-F GPT aims to provide a superior alternative to Chrome's built-in CTRL+F functionality. Its development follows recommended practices for Chrome extensions, ensuring a stable and reliable user experience. The extension is actively being developed, with plans for more features to be added in the future. Keyboard shortcuts are integrated for seamless navigation, with ENTER selecting the next match and SHIFT+ENTER selecting the previous match on the page. This tool is ideal for researchers, students, content creators, and anyone who frequently needs to sift through large amounts of text on the web and desires a more powerful and flexible search solution.
