This extension aims to boost writing confidence, help users select the most welcoming words, and effectively communicate with underrepresented groups. Clovers' approach is rooted in data and validated by extensive surveys, specifically investigating terms that may discourage candidates and identifying language that instills confidence. The tool provides real-time analysis of job descriptions and candidate communications, offering an initial inclusion score that dynamically updates as optimizations are made. Scientifically researched inclusive terms are highlighted in green, while problematic terms are shown in red.
Key benefits include enhancing writing with cultural insight by decoding cultural signals for real-time bias interruption, providing guidance for inclusive communication that encourages recruiters to pause and reflect, and facilitating continuous learning for lasting behavior change. By amplifying impact across a team, the more widely Clovers is used, the greater its positive influence on team culture. The extension seamlessly integrates into the browser, eliminating the need for copy-pasting and working within ATS systems, Google Docs, email clients, and social media.
Clovers goes beyond gender parity to assist in attracting a wide and diverse pool of applicants, including people of color and individuals with disabilities. The tool offers an array of additional terms to further enhance job descriptions, with hover-over definitions providing scientifically validated inclusive alternatives.
