The AI assistant is equipped with three specialized modes to cater to different user needs. The 'Coach' mode acts as a personal trainer, providing targeted exercises and prompts to help players improve their skills. The 'Analyst' mode offers in-depth game and move analysis, delivering insights without requiring specific prompts. The 'Assistant' mode focuses on directly answering users' chess-related questions without offering unsolicited advice.
Beyond its core coaching capabilities, ChessBuddy AI includes additional features to facilitate interaction and learning. Text-to-Speech functionality allows users to listen to AI responses with customizable voice settings, enabling them to focus on the game board while receiving guidance. Speech Recognition enables hands-free operation, allowing players to interact with the AI using their voice during analysis or study sessions.
ChessBuddy AI is designed to be adaptable, catering to both beginner and experienced chess players by providing tailored guidance. It aims to help users unlock their potential and elevate their chess game. The extension is exclusively for use on Lichess.org and requires an active internet connection. It is important to note that ChessBuddy AI cannot be used during live rated games to ensure fair play and is not intended for cheating. A premium subscription to chessbuddy.ai is required to use the extension, although it contains no in-app purchases.
