Description
The LLM Bootcamp is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to build applications powered by large language models (LLMs). This program addresses the significant changes in how AI-powered applications are developed. Traditionally, creating an application would involve extensive training of models from scratch, which often led to bottlenecks in both development and deployment. With the advent of pretrained LLM models and APIs, developers can now configure a compelling minimum viable product (MVP) and have it serving users in just an hour.
The bootcamp consists of a two-day program that incorporates emerging best practices and the latest research findings in the field of LLMs. Originally conducted as an in-person bootcamp in San Francisco in April 2023, the recorded lectures are now available for free. Participants will learn essential topics such as prompt engineering, deployment strategies, user experience design for language interfaces, and how to launch an LLM app swiftly. The curriculum is designed to help developers transition to building LLM applications with confidence.
The target audience for the LLM Bootcamp includes individuals with programming experience in Python, as well as those familiar with machine learning, frontend, or backend development. The instructor team comprises UC Berkeley PhD alumni with extensive industry experience, dedicated to teaching practical applications of deep neural networks. Since 2018, they have successfully conducted various bootcamps and courses at top universities, making them well-equipped to guide participants through the complexities of LLM application development.
