Description
Tiny Desk AI is an independent AI video tool that enables users to create personalized, vertical desk-concert parodies from their photos. It takes one to five authorized photos and integrates them into a fixed performance reference, generating a 19-second video in 9:16 aspect ratio, ideal for platforms like TikTok and Reels. The video features the original song, "Outstanding" by The Gap Band, from Charlie Wilson’s NPR Tiny Desk concert.

The process is straightforward: users upload a required lead photo and can optionally add up to four additional photos for band members, including keys, sax, and two backing singers. Any unselected seats are filled with fictional AI musicians, ensuring a full band appearance. The tool does not require any video editing skills, prompts, or external templates like CapCut, as the workflow uses a fixed performance reference for moves, cuts, and timing.
Tiny Desk AI emphasizes user privacy and control. Photos are stored privately and deleted after 24 hours, while finished videos remain in the user's account for 30 days, available for private playback, download (with or without sound), or deletion. The service is a browser-based photo-to-video solution, not a downloadable app or open-source software.
Pricing is a one-time payment of $9.90 per video, regardless of whether one or five people are cast. Credit packs for multiple videos are also available, offering a lower per-video cost. Unused credits do not expire, and failed video renders are re-credited automatically. The tool is a parody and is not affiliated with or endorsed by NPR, Tiny Desk, Charlie Wilson, or The Gap Band.
Users are advised to use sharp, well-lit, front-facing photos of individuals who have given permission, including kids (with parental consent) or pets. The tool is an AI character-replacement workflow, not a live camera face-swap app, and results may contain visual artifacts, requiring review before sharing. It's designed for personal use, explicitly prohibiting uploads of celebrities or public figures without permission, and misuse for misleading or advertising purposes.
