When you request a change, the chat prepares it and presents a preview, along with a risk assessment, before anything is saved. You must explicitly approve the change for it to be applied to your store. This preview-and-approve mechanism ensures that you maintain full control over your store's content and settings. Every modification is logged in a history, and you have the ability to undo any change with a simple command, providing a safety net for all operations.
TellMyShop supports a wide range of tasks across eight work areas for PrestaShop and seven for WordPress, including store checks, sales reports, content and SEO, catalogue management, sales promotions, theme adjustments, module/plugin management, and customer service. It works with both free and paid accounts of Claude and ChatGPT, requiring only a one-time setup to connect your store. The platform is designed for both businesses and private buyers, offering different license tiers based on the number of stores.
Security is a key focus, with features like OAuth 2.1 for secure sign-in, customer data off-limits to the AI by default (with optional pseudonymization or temporary full access), and encryption of customer data in change histories and backups. The system also includes critical safeguards, such as daily database backups before the first change and file backups before any file modification. TellMyShop does not send customer communications, change payments or order statuses, or access sensitive data like passwords or API keys. Conversations remain private within your Claude or ChatGPT account, as TellMyShop does not store or train models on them.

The Pro version, available through a one-time payment, enables the chat to save approved changes and includes access to Sani, a virtual e-commerce consultant who suggests where to start based on your store's data. How to use TellMyShop?
Install Module/Plugin: Download and install the TellMyShop module for PrestaShop or plugin for WordPress in your store's admin panel.
Paste License Key: For Pro features, paste your license key into the module/plugin's license card and activate it.
Connect to Chat: Switch on the connector in the module/plugin, then add your store's address in your Claude or ChatGPT app and click "Allow" to establish the connection.
Write in Chat: Begin a conversation in Claude or ChatGPT, describing in plain words what you need to fix or change in your store.
Review and Approve: The chat will propose changes with a preview and risk level; review them and say "yes" to save or "no" to discard.
Undo Changes: If needed, use a simple chat command to undo any previously saved change, leveraging the change history and backups.
