Description
Profile Picture Maker by HeadshotPro is a free tool for turning a selfie you already have into a clean profile picture, made by the team behind HeadshotPro's paid AI headshot service. It is not an AI photo generator: the site is explicit that this page is an editor for an existing photo, and that a fully reshot, studio-style AI headshot is a separate paid product.

The editor runs entirely in the browser. A user uploads a selfie, and background removal happens on the device rather than on a server, so the photo is not sent anywhere for that step. From there, the person can pick a solid, gradient or pattern background, add a border or frame around a circular crop, apply a one-tap filter, and curve or straighten text such as a name or handle around the edge of the circle. A live round preview shows how the crop will look before anything is downloaded.
For output, the tool offers one-tap size presets built for specific platforms: square exports for Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn and Discord, a larger size for YouTube, a CV-ready photo, and a 1024×1024 HD square that scales down cleanly anywhere else. Downloads are PNG or JPEG, in HD, with no watermark and no account needed.
It is built for anyone who wants a usable profile picture for a social app, a professional network like LinkedIn, or a CV, without opening design software. Because it only edits the photo supplied, result quality depends on the source image; the site notes plainly that the editor cannot invent detail that is not already in the file. The same site also links to a matching pfp maker for two people who want coordinated profile pictures, and to HeadshotPro itself for anyone who wants an AI-generated studio portrait rather than an edit of an existing photo.
