Utilizing Press Hook involves a straightforward, three-step process. First, brands build a journalist-ready press kit in minutes by providing basic information about their company, brand story, product photos, and talking points. This eliminates the need for extensive manual effort, hiring copywriters or designers, or managing shared folders. The second step involves being matched with journalists who have posted live "Source Requests" specifically seeking products like yours. Brands can respond to these requests with a single click, reversing the traditional outreach model where the media comes to the brand.
The third step is to track all PR activities from a single dashboard. This feature allows brands to monitor engagement with their press kits in real-time, track sample distribution, and observe incoming coverage as it lands. This provides clear insights into what is working, enabling brands to optimize their PR efforts. Press Hook contrasts this with the common pain points of managing pitches across spreadsheets, chasing agencies for updates, or receiving opaque PDF reports.
The platform is designed for a wide range of CPG brands across categories such as Beauty, Food & Beverage, Wellness, Home Goods, Fashion, Kids & Parenting, Pets, and Sports & Outdoor. It is not suitable for pre-revenue brands, service businesses, those seeking one-time press release blasts, or political/religious organizations. Press Hook emphasizes its affordability compared to traditional PR agencies, with plans starting at $899/month, significantly less than the $8,000-$20,000/month typical for agencies. Brands can expect to see initial media inquiries within 30 days and results within 60-90 days.
