Description
PickMyBrain is a platform built around what it calls AI twins of real people: AI-driven "digital brain" personas trained on an expert's own material, which users can chat with directly instead of waiting for that person to be available. The company previously operated under the name WOIS with the same core idea of digital brains built from real experts' knowledge, and the product has since been rebranded to PickMyBrain.

When a user asks a digital brain a question, the answer is grounded in that expert's own corpus of material where possible. The interface distinguishes between an answer that draws on the expert's actual content and one that does not, noting explicitly when an expert "has little material on this topic" or "has no materials on this topic," so users can judge how much a given answer reflects that person's real work versus a general response in their style.
A fact-check feature lets users verify a reply's factual claims, such as dates, numbers, names or events, against Wikipedia articles. If an answer is based on personal experience, opinion or values rather than checkable facts, the fact-check tool flags that there is nothing concrete to verify, and suggests asking a more fact-based question instead.
Using PickMyBrain runs on a credit-based model: users maintain a USD balance and top it up as needed, with the cost of each answer shown alongside the response, and cached answers marked as such since they carry no additional cost. The platform also includes a referral mechanism, letting a conversation suggest asking a related question of a different expert on a relevant topic, and an invite program through which existing users can earn rewards for bringing others onto the platform.
Beyond chatting with existing experts, PickMyBrain also supports building a personal AI twin: through an onboarding flow, a user can set up their own digital brain and grant others access to it, extending the same digital-brain concept to any individual rather than only well-known experts. The product is aimed at anyone who wants fast, direct access to an expert's actual knowledge and reasoning, without waiting for that person's schedule to free up, and at people interested in creating their own AI-accessible presence.
