The platform offers a freemium model, where users can try the service without signing up, generating up to three prompts and hearing the takes instantly. A free account provides 10 generations per day and five MIDI downloads per month. For more extensive use, the Pro plan is available at $14.99 per month or $119 per year, offering unlimited generations and 200 download credits per month, including WAV downloads.
Melody Generator is particularly beneficial for producers working in genres like hip hop, R&B, and trap, providing loop-ready clips in 4 or 8 bar lengths. Users can specify key, scale, tempo, genre, and feel, or let the prompt fill these in automatically. The generated MIDI files are fully editable, allowing users to change notes, transpose, or swap sounds in their DAW.
The tool is developed by Trevor Satori, a producer with credits for artists like Boosie Badazz and Nafe Smallz. Melody Generator ensures that all creations are royalty-free, allowing users to incorporate them into commercial projects without needing to credit the tool. The platform also offers free MIDI packs for various genres, enhancing the creative possibilities for producers.
