Description
Giftit offers a unique solution to the perennial problem of gift-giving: how to find the perfect present without asking directly and ruining the surprise. The platform leverages an AI chatbot, Sherlock, designed to engage in natural conversations with your contacts. Sherlock asks targeted questions to uncover preferences, hobbies, and desired items, all while maintaining complete anonymity for the gift-giver.

Getting started with Giftit is straightforward. The process involves three simple steps. First, you select a contact from your phone's address book or choose a friend already on the Giftit platform. Next, you initiate a chat with Sherlock, who will then communicate with your chosen friend via your preferred messaging app, such as WhatsApp or iMessage. This interaction is entirely anonymous, allowing you to relax while Sherlock gathers the necessary information.
Once Sherlock has completed its conversation, Giftit presents you with the results. You can review the full transcript of the chat or opt for an AI-generated summary that highlights key gift ideas. This feature ensures you receive actionable insights to make an informed decision. Whether it's for a birthday, graduation, holiday, or just a spontaneous gesture, Giftit aims to help you find the perfect gift every time, making gift-giving a more enjoyable and less stressful experience.
The platform is developed by The Fire Company and is made with care in Europe. Users have praised Giftit for its effectiveness and the natural feel of the AI interactions. Comments highlight how the bot feels like talking to a real person and how its specific questions can spark gift ideas that might otherwise be overlooked. This innovative approach transforms the often-challenging task of gift selection into a seamless and insightful process.
