The AI resume builder produces keyword-matched, ATS-optimized resumes tailored to each job, with the stated aim of saving around 60 minutes per application. FirstResume emphasizes that it enhances rather than fabricates experience, asking clarification questions and letting users review and approve every AI suggestion. A flexible editor supports both AI and manual editing, control over fonts and margins, and downloads in PDF or DOCX.
Beyond resumes, FirstResume generates cover letters aligned to the tailored resume and to outreach emails, runs a job-match analysis with a compatibility score broken into categories and identifies strengths, weaknesses, and key skills, and offers interview preparation with AI-predicted questions and automated company research. A job application tracker automatically organizes key information from each job description.
