Description
Fermata provides a comprehensive digital scouting and agronomic decision support platform designed to transform greenhouse crop monitoring. Utilizing computer vision, Fermata enables daily, consistent monitoring of crops to detect early signs of pests and diseases. This proactive approach allows growers to act earlier, treat smarter, and cover larger areas without increasing headcount.

The platform supports a variety of crops, including tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, cannabis, and ornamentals. By installing off-the-shelf 25x zoom cameras across greenhouse zones, Fermata ensures that every plant is watched every day. The system identifies threats before they spread, helping growers reduce routine scouting, chemical use, treatment costs, production risks, and crop losses.
Fermata's Croptimus platform scans camera-equipped areas daily, detecting over 20 types of pests and diseases. It provides images, heatmaps, and alerts for immediate action, facilitating treatment planning and post-treatment evaluation. The platform's plug-and-play setup requires no proprietary hardware, and cameras can be purchased separately.
The installation process is efficient, with most facilities operational within hours. A 2-3 week calibration period follows, during which detection thresholds are tuned to the facility's conditions. Data is processed locally and stored securely in a dedicated Virtual Private Cloud on AWS.
Pricing for Croptimus is based on greenhouse size, monitored crops, and selected features, typically representing a small percentage of crop revenue. Fermata offers a risk-free pilot to demonstrate the platform's value, with the potential for significant ROI through labor optimization and reduced crop losses.
