Cortex operates on a per-seat pricing model that scales with organizational size, offering customized pricing plans. The platform is cloud-hosted on Google Cloud Platform, eliminating the need for users to maintain infrastructure. Implementation involves connecting data sources, building an engineering catalog, and configuring scorecards and workflows, with most teams seeing results within the first sprint.
Cortex's key capabilities include cross-team ownership enforcement, org-level DORA and DRIVE metrics, and AI-powered queries. These features help organizations maintain a cohesive operational structure and focus on areas that require improvement. The platform also offers a range of online learning courses through Cortex Academy, covering topics such as incident management, developer onboarding, and production readiness.
Cortex is designed for engineering teams looking to streamline their operations and improve software delivery performance. By providing a unified platform that connects various tools and data sources, Cortex enables teams to achieve measurable progress and accountability. However, it requires a dedicated owner or small team to manage integrations and ensure effective adoption.
