For those with existing designs, Image mode converts fan art, original characters, mascots, or game screenshots into Minecraft skins, maintaining the original design elements like hoods, armor, and capes. Roblox mode enables users to convert their Roblox avatar into a Minecraft skin by simply typing a username or uploading a screenshot, mapping parts like face decals, shirts, pants, hair, and hats. Finally, Text mode allows users to describe a character in a sentence, and Blocksona will paint the front, back, and sides of the skin based on the description, requiring no photo input.
Beyond generation, Blocksona provides several free tools that do not require credits or even an account. The 3D skin viewer allows users to spin and inspect any 64x64 PNG skin, switching between classic and slim arm models. The skin editor offers pixel-by-pixel touch-ups directly on the flat texture or the 3D model, enabling users to correct any details the AI might have gotten wrong. Additionally, a pixel art maker can convert any picture into block pixel art, providing exact counts of wool, concrete, and terracotta blocks needed for in-game construction. All generated skins are saved privately in a user's library for easy re-downloading.
